American Cooking, page 654 if you are not going for looks, put all of the pecans in to the filling Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 cup light corn syrup |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped |
1 pastry shells, unbaked |
1/2 cup pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 300. 2. Cream butter & sugar throughy. 3. Add eggs, syrup, vanilla, and chopped nuts. 4. Mix well. 5. Tun into pastry shell. 6. Arrange pecan halveson top of pie. 7. Place on lower rack of oven and cook for 45 minutes or until center is firm. |
