Great appetizer. Two large pecan halves sandwiched with filling of cream cheese, Roquefort cheese, and mayonnaise. Simple, nutty, cheesy, good! Ingredients:
large pecan halves, example: (40 halves to make 20 stuffed pecans) |
cream cheese (amount is your choice) |
roquefort cheese (amount is your choice) |
mayonnaise (just enough to blend the cheeses) |
note: may add cayenne, chili powder, cumin, or rosemary |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, beat softened cream cheese, Roquefort cheese, and a little mayonnaise until creamy, not runny 2. May add at this time cayenne, chili powder, cumin, rosemary, garlic, or your favorite herb 3. Mix again if spice or herb is added 4. Take two halves and stuff with filling (like a sandwich) 5. Refrigerate until ready to serve 6. The filling will harden slightly in the refrigerator |
