Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk
2 to 3 cups sliced peaches (piday prefers 3 cups)
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Melt butter and place in an 8x8 baking dish.
3. Mix together the 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
4. Combine granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon-sugar mixture, baking powder and milk in a medium bowl.
5. Pour this on top of butter and do not stir, just leave it be.
6. Place peaches evenly on top of batter.
7. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans.
8. Bake for 40 minutes or until top turns golden brown.
9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
10. Top with ice cream or whipped cream.
