Southern Style! Ingredients:
1 cup cut okra |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 tsp. enriched flour |
1/2 tsp. pepper |
3 tomatoes, peeled and quartered or 1 cup canned tomatoes |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1/2 cup cooking oil |
1 tbsp. sugar |
Directions:
1. Cook okra in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes. 2. Drain. 3. Saute onion and green pepper in oil; add tomatoes and cook slowly 5 minutes. 4. Add okra and remaining ingredients; cook over low heat until vegetables are just tender, sitrring as little as possible. |
