Best ever Southern Cornbread Ingredients:
2 cups white corn meal |
1 cup self rising flour |
8 oz.. buttermilk |
2 t. sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 t melted butter |
1 jalepeno pepper chopped very fine |
1/2 chopped onion |
4 slices american cheeze |
1 can cream style corn |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients well 2. Best if baked in cast iron skillet............well greased 3. Bake 375 for approx. 40 minutes or until browned well |
