Ingredients:
3 cups milk |
3 cups water |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups uncooked regular grits |
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
3 cups (12 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
1 teaspoon paprika |
Directions:
1. Combine milk, water, and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Add grits, stirring well. Reduce heat; cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add butter and Cheddar cheese; stir until melted. Cool 10 minutes 2. Scoop grits into a serving bowl using an ice cream scoop. Combine Parmesan cheese and paprika; mix well. Sprinkle cheese mixture over tops of scoops just before serving. |
