This is my own recipe for cornbread dressing. I serve it every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas. So far, I've had no complaints! :-) Cook cornbread and boil eggs ahead of time. Ingredients:
3 pans cornbread |
8 slices white bread, toasted |
2 onions, chopped |
6 eggs, hard boiled |
12 eggs, slightly beaten |
10 cups turkey or chicken broth |
1 1/2 sticks margarine |
2 tbsp crumbled sage leaves |
Directions:
1. Crumble cornbread and toasted bread in a large bowl 2. Add onion, chopped boiled egg and boiled broth to mixture 3. Add crumbled sage leaves, raw eggs and melted margarine 4. Blend well 5. Pour into a buttered baking dish and bake at 425 derees for 30-45 minutes, depending on oven |
