Traditional, old southern recipe for a staple in southern culinary enjoyment! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 1/4 cups milk |
1 1/2 cups cornmeal |
3/4 cup flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix in a large mixing bowl eggs, milk, and oil until emulsified. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a well buttered 8 inch square baking pan. Bake about 30 minute until done. Cut and serve hot. Makes 6 large, hearty pieces or 12 regular size puny pieces. |
