Ingredients:
1 medium cabbage, cleaned and shredded |
1 cup water |
1/4 pound salt pork |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt (optional) |
1/8 teaspoon pepper (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine shredded cabbage, water, salt pork, and sugar in a large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Drain well. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. |
