If you like Pecan Pie your gonna like these bars. Ingredients:
crust |
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped |
filling |
3/4 cup dark corn syrup |
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
2 eggs |
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/4 cup pecans. coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine 1 1/4 cups flour, butter and sugar in large mixer bowl. 3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs (1-2 min.). 4. Stir in 1/4 cup pecans. 5. Press crust mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 8 or 9-in. square baking pan. 6. Bake 18-22 minutes or until very lightly golden brown on edges. 7. Combine all filling ingredients EXCEPT pecans in a small bowl; mix well. 8. Stir in pecans. 9. Spread evenly over hot, partially baked crust. 10. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until filling appears set and knife inserted 1-in. from edge comes out clean. 11. Cool; cut into bars. |
