Makes 2 loaves of light, moist, sweet banana bread. Use the soft white Southern flour such as White Lily brand Ingredients:
2 c sugar |
1 c milk |
1 c chopped nuts (optional) |
2 c self rising flour, white lily |
1 stick margarine |
2 eggs |
3 bananas |
1 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. Place peeled bananas in mixing bowl, add sugar. 2. Mix until bananas are liquefied. 3. Add margarine, mix until creamed together with banana mixture. 4. Add all other ingredients and blend well. 5. Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans ( glass ) and bake for one hour at 350 or tested done 6. Cool completely, wrap, store and freeze one loaf if desired |
