Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups hearty meat sauce |
1 cup drained canned low-sodium pinto beans |
1/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon seeded, chopped jalapeno pepper |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
dash of salt |
1 tablespoon shredded reduced-fat monterey jack cheese |
1 tablespoon chopped green onions |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro |
Directions:
1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. To serve, ladle chili into 2 bowls; sprinkle evenly with cheese, green onions, and cilantro. |
