This bakes at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown. Ingredients:
4 cups sliced peeled fresh or frozen peaches, thawded |
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided |
1/2 teaspoon almond extract |
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons bakng powder |
pinch salt |
3/4 cup milk |
vanilla ice cream, optional |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, gently toss peaches, 1 cup of sugar and extract; set aside. 2. Pour butter into a 2-qt. baking dish. 3. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and remaining sugar; stir in milk. 4. Mix well. 5. Pour evenly over batter (do not stir). 6. Top with peach mixture. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Serve with ice cream if desired. 9. Yield: 8 servings. |
