I made this because I had everything on hand and plenty of bread for bruschetta and garlic bread. I threw everything together to the point I thought it would taste good and I encourage you to also. Ingredients:
butter |
garlic powder |
dried basil |
12 slices of sourdough bread |
3-4 cloves of garlic minced |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 and set out a cookie sheet. 2. Cut and peel garlic and then mince. 3. In a small or medium sauce pan melt the butter then mix in the garlic powder and basil. 4. Carefully lay the bread slice into the mixture then quickly flip it with your fingers by grabbing the edges. Then move to cookie sheet and sprinkle with minced garlic. 5. Repeat until they are all ready to bake. 6. Put in the oven for 10 minutes, flip after 5 minutes so the garlic will be toasted. |
