This one is a soft spice spritz cookie that has been a holiday tradition for over 20 years! Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup white sugar |
1 egg yolk |
1/3 cup sour cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Place dough into a cookie press and press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets. 3. Bake in preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, until golden. Cool 5 minutes on sheet before moving to wire rack to cool completely. |
