This makes a moist, tender loaf..We love it for chicken salad sandwishes, french toast or toast of course..Yummy!! Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed |
1 cup raisins |
3 eggs, well beaten |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. 2. Add brown sugar and raisins. Stir well. 3. Now add the eggs, milk, sour cream and melted butter. Stir well, but don't overmix. 4. Pour batter into a well greased 8x4 laof pan. 5. Bake at 350* for 1 hour. 6. Cool 20-30 minutes in the pan. Turn out onto wire rack to completely cool. 7. This is wonderful served with butter. |
