This is my all time favorite green been recipe. It's always asked for at the holidays. It's my twist on a recipe everyone has. Ingredients:
1/2 cup thinly sliced onion |
8 ounces sliced mushrooms |
1/4 cup butter |
2 (10 ounce) packages green beans |
1 cup sour cream |
1 (5 ounce) package dry onion soup mix |
salt and pepper, to taste |
1 cup shredded cheese (any kind you like) |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350. 2. Saute' onions and mushrooms in butter. 3. In a bowl combine beans, sour cream, onion soup mix, salt& pepper. 4. Mix lightly. 5. Fold in cheese. 6. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. 7. Mix melted butter with bread crumbs. 8. Top the beans when mixed. 9. Bake for 20-25, until bubbly. |
