I love coleslaw, and this recipe is the result of combining several others...along with a few innovations of my own. The sour cream gives it a unique, smooth flavor, while the carrots make it sweet and give it a pretty orange tint. This is a great, refreshing salad to have alongside any grilled meat (or piled high on a hamburger). Cook time is chilling in the fridge. Ingredients:
8 cups shredded cabbage |
1 1/2 cups diced carrots |
1/2 cup diced green pepper |
1/4 cup minced red onion |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
4 teaspoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
Directions:
1. Combine vegetables in large bowl. 2. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl; pour over vegetables and mix well. 3. Cover and chill. |
