Sweet and moist. A great treat to share with friends with or without coffee. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar |
3/4 cup butter, softened |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
3 eggs |
3 cups all purpose flour |
1 1/2 tsp baking powder |
1 1/2 tsp baking soda |
3/4 tsp salt |
1 1/2 cups sour cream |
apple nut filling |
1 1/2 cups chopped apples |
1/3 cup packed brown sugar |
1 tbs flour |
2 tbs butter |
1/4 tsp nutmeg |
1/8 tsp salt |
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts |
glaze |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
1/4 tsp vanilla |
2 tsp milk |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Grease tube pan (10x4 inches) or 12 cup bundt pan. 3. Prepare the apple nut filling and reserve. 4. Beat sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs in 3 quart bowl on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2 minutes. 5. Beat in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt alternately with sour cream on low speed. 6. Spread 1/3 of batter (about 2 cups) in pan: sprinkle with 1/3 of filling. Repeat 2 times. 7. Bake until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool 20 minutes. 8. Remove from pan and frost with glaze. |
