Sour Cream Christmas Cookies |

Best if dough is refrigerated for 30 min to an hour before rolling, cooking time depends on size of cookie cutouts. I usually add 5 cups of flour. Ingredients:
1 cup shortening (part butter) |
2 cups sugar |
3 eggs |
3 teaspoons vanilla |
1/2 cup sour cream |
5 -6 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Cream first four ingredients. 2. Add sour cream, then dry ingredients. 3. Refrigerate dough (not necessary but helpful). 4. Roll and cut 1/8 . 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. |
