Sour Cream Chocolate Cookies |

My family owned a bakery and these were a big hit. Sold out every time. Great for the chocolate lovers Ingredients:
1/2 c shorting |
1 c sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 c sour cream |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 1/4 - 2 c sifted flour |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
2 squares chocolate (bakers chocolate melted) |
1/4 tsp salt |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1 cup walnut halves |
Directions:
1. preheat oven 350
2. cream shortening with sugar
3. add egg beat well
4. add melted chocolate, sour cream, & vanilla stir until mixed
5. in seperate bowl mix flour, baking soda, & salt
6. add flour mixture & chopped walnuts to chocolate mixture
7. drop by tsp onto ungreased cookie sheet place 1 walnut half on each cookie
8. bake 10-12 minutes
