Sour Cream Chocolate Cake |

Rich cake with distinctive flavor from Fannie Farmer. I made this for the first time in the 1980's. Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
1 1/2 cups cake flour |
2/3 cup cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 eggs |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Mix sour cream, sugar, vanilla and butter. 3. Sift together then add to above the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. 4. Beat in 1 egg at a time. 5. Spread in 8 or 9 inch pan and bake about 25 minutes. |
