A wonderfully rich and delicious dish that is great served over your favorite rice. Ingredients:
4 boneless chicken breast |
1 pound of sliced mushrooms |
1 stick butter |
1 egg |
1/3 cup milk |
1 1/3 cups italian style bread crumbs |
8 oz. sour cream |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1 cup sliced green onions |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Whisk egg with milk. 3. Dip chicken into egg wash and then dredge in the bread crumbs. 4. Heat oil in skillet 5. Fry chicken in oil until lightly brown on each side. 6. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. 7. Saute mushrooms and onions in butter until tender. 8. Stir in sour cream and chicken broth. 9. Place chicken in shallow baking dish. 10. Season with salt and pepper. 11. Pour sour cream sauce over chicken. 12. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. 13. Serve over hot rice or egg noodles. |
