Sour Cream Cardamom Waffles |

This is from TOH. For my new waffle iron! :) Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1 dash salt |
2/3 cup milk |
2/3 cup sour cream |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted |
2 eggs, separated |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom and salt. 2. Combine milk, sour cream, butter and egg yolks; stir into dry ingredients just until combined. 3. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter. Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown (waffles will be soft). |
