very old recipe Ingredients:
2 cups brown sugar, well packed |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. mix sugar,sour cream and cream of tartar in saucepan Cook over medium heat, stirring to prevent burning. 2. Cook until soft ball forms when a little is dropped into a cup of cold water. 3. Remove from heat, add vanilla and let cool in cooking pan. 4. When cool, beat until creamy and pour onto a buttered plate. 5. Let cool and cut into 1 inch squares. |
