This is a very tasty and very moist banana bread with the great addition of sour cream. I often make this when I have bananas that are turned over ripe and need to be used. Enjoy Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
1-1/3 cups granulated sugar |
1-1/4 cups mashed bananas |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
2 eggs |
2-3/4 cups all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 then cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs and bananas until well blended. 3. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture stirring just to blend. 4. Stir in walnuts then spoon batter into greased and floured loaf pan. 5. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes then let stand in pan on rack for 20 minutes. 6. Remove from pan and wrap in foil then let loaf stand overnight. |
