Is there anything better than hot apple pie in the cold weather? If there is, I don't know about it. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 cup sour cream |
1 cup sugar |
6 tbsp flour |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
dash of salt |
3 cups chopped apples |
1 unbaked pie shell |
3 tbsp margarine melted |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs and add sour cream blending thoroughly 2. Stir in sugar, 2Tbsp of the flour, vanilla and salt. 3. Mix well. 4. Add apples 5. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell 6. Bake at 375F for 15 minutes 7. In another bowl combine butter, brown sugar and the remaining flour 8. Sprinkle this mixture over the pie. 9. Continue to bake for another 20 or 25 minutes. 10. Be sure to have lots of vanilla ice cream (I prefer a good French Vanilla) to serve with this pie hot from the oven. 11. Not a lot of leftovers with this pie. |
