SOUR CREAM AND LEMON LIME SODA BISCUITS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ottemeyer Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
4 cups all purpose baking mix mix |
1 cup sour cream |
6 ounces lemon lime soda |
Directions:
1. Mix sour cream into baking mix. 2. Using a pastry blender or two table knives until mixture is crumbly. 3. Add soda all at once then stir quickly with a large fork. 4. Turn out onto lightly floured board and quickly knead 8 times. 5. Do not over mix or biscuits will be tough then pat into a square. 6. Cut into 18 equal pieces using a knife dipped in flour. 7. Preheat oven to 400 and cook biscuits 7 minutes. |
