This winning combination of ingredients make a tasty, rich soup that will stick to the ribs. IT IS A MEAL! Serve with a loaf of French bread! VERY GOOD! Ingredients:
6-1/2 cups chicken broth |
2 cups heavy cream |
ham, about 2 cups (can use deli-ham) |
3/4 cup grated swiss cheese |
2 cups cooked chicken |
1/2 cup onions, chopped |
1/2 cup celery, diced |
salt, to taste |
1/2 teaspoon white pepper or fresh ground black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Saute the onions and celery in olive oil, and cook a minute or two 2. In large pot add broth, ham, cooked chicken, celery, onion, and bring just to boiling, but do not boil 3. In medium pot place heavy cream and swiss cheese; heat just until cheese is melted, stirring frequently 4. Then add melted cheese mixture to the large pot, add salt and pepper to taste. 5. Heat again slowly, with lid 6. May thicken with a little flour and water mixed if desired 7. DELICIOUS! |
