Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
2 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
1/4 cup brandy |
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Stir in brandy, mixing well. 2. Sift together flour, soda, and nutmeg; add to creamed mixture, mixing well to form a soft dough. Chill 2 hours. 3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-inch round cutter. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookies sheets. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool on wire racks. |
