~An Appetizer..Dessert~ Ingredients:
1-29 oz can pears in heavy syrup ,drained,reserve syrup |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1-1/2 teaspoons crystallized ginger,finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Place the reserve pear syrup and sugar over heat. 2. Bring to a boil,stirring constantly,remove from heat,cool. 3. Puree pears. 4. Mix syrup,pear puree,lemon juice and ginger. 5. Pour into ice cube tray. 6. Freeze until partially frozen,about 2 hours. 7. Pour the mixture into a blender,and blend until smooth and fluffy. 8. Return to previous ice cube tray. 9. Freeze until firm,about 4 hours. 10. ~Allow to stand at room temperature about 10 minutes,before presenting in glass sherbet dishes,a fresh mint leaf embedded into the very top of the sorbet would be fine~ |
