This is a traditional Indian drink meant for the hot summer months.Though there will be a slight change in flavor you can substitute sugar for jaggery if you cant find the latter. Happy sipping! Ingredients:
4 tablespoons jaggery, grated |
600 ml chilled water |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
4 black peppercorns, crushed |
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder |
Directions:
1. Stir the grated jaggery into the water until it has dissolved. 2. Add all the other ingredients and stir well. 3. Strain out the liquid through a fine sieve (optional). 4. Serve chilled. |
