I got this recipe from my Grandmother who has always made the best sugar cookies! I have tried a few sugar cookie recipe's and this is by far my favorite! It is so yummy!!! Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract |
1 cup milk |
6 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. Cream together shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs, vanilla, lemon extract and milk.
3. Beat in sifted dry ingredients.
4. Chill and roll out 1/8 inch thick.
5. Cut and bake 10 minutes at 350 degree’s.
6. When partially cool, frost lightly with icing.
