A very nice oatmeal cookie recipe for those that want a simple, yet easy cookie. You can easily add nuts and/or raisins to this recipe with ease. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup butter softened |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
3 cups quick cooking oats |
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and sugars then beat in eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla. 2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon then stir into creamed mixture then mix in oats. 3. Cover and chill dough at least one hour then preheat oven to 350 and grease cookie sheets. 4. Roll dough into walnut size balls and place 2” apart on cookie sheets. 5. Flatten each cookie with a large fork dipped in sugar then bake 10 minutes. 6. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet 5 minutes before transferring to rack to cool completely. |
