I thought this a different kind of recipe to share. Ingredients:
1 c. butter |
1 c. honey |
2 eggs |
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk |
1/4 tsp. salt |
4 c. flour |
2 tsps. soda |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1 tsp. ginger |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and honey well, add beaten egg, sour milk, flour sifted with soda, spices and salt. Mix well and bake in two layers in a slow oven 275 degrees, for about 30 minutes. 2. Watch close for honey cake burns very easily. 3. You can use your own icing or serve hot without icing. |
