                    Got this recipe from an Aunt. If you prefer a softer ginger cookie, these are perfect for you. Can make the dough up and keep in fridge for several days. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 1/2 cups margarine  |  
                                                4 teaspoons baking soda  |  
                                                1 teaspoon ground cloves  |  
                                                2 cups brown sugar  |  
                                                4 cups flour  |  
                                                2 eggs  |  
                                                2 teaspoons ground cinnamon  |  
                                                2 teaspoons ground ginger  |  
                                                1/2 cup molasses  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, spices, molasses and baking soda well. 2. Add flour. 3. Chill at least one hour. 4. Drop by teaspoons and bake for 8 minutes.                              |
