A thin, delicate custard, this Eagle Brand classic is one of the earliest of childhood delights!!
Ingredients:
0.5 (300 ml) can regular eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups hot water
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
3 eggs, slightly beten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Combine Eagle Brand, water and salt in top of double boiler; gradually stir in eggs.
2. Cook over simmering water, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a spoon, about 20 minutes.
3. Remove from heat at once. Cool quickly in a pan of cold water.
4. Stir in vanilla. Pour into 4 dessert dishes. Chill.
