My mom found this recipe in the Friend magazine about 10 years ago and we still make it all the time. It's always a huge hit, I usually have to make 3 or 4 batches! Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup butter |
34 saltines (about 34 crackers) |
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 3. Cover entire cookie sheet with a layer of saltines (I usually use almost one sleeve of crackers). 4. Bring brown sugar and butter to rolling boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes. 5. Pour evenly over crackers. 6. Put in oven for 5 minutes. 7. Pour chocolate chips over top and spread evenly as they melt. 8. Put in the freezer or fridge until it hardens. 9. Then break apart and enjoy! |
