This is a tasty bread replacement. Besan is chickpea flour, available at Indian food stores. If you are concerned about fat, reduce the olive oil to 1 T. I lowered salt to keep sodium low; salt lovers might like to raise up to 1/2 t. Ingredients:
1 cup besan |
3/4 c water |
2 t olive oil |
1 t crushed rosemary |
1/8 t salt |
1 cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together to make a smooth batter. Allow to rest at least one hour. 2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Spray with cooking spray. Pour in 1/4th of batter to make a crepe. Cook until top is dry. Flip and cook until other side is crispy. Serve hot. |
