A hearty French Soup to be served with a firm bread. Ingredients:
1 can navy beans |
1 cup ham, diced |
1 medium onion, diced |
1 large potato, diced |
2 medium carrots, diced |
2 celery ribs, diced |
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced |
1 1/2 quarts water |
1 bay leaf |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 tablespoon parsley |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a large soup pot. 2. Bring to a boil slowly. 3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour. 4. Check the seasonings and serve warm. |
