A hearty French Soup to be served with a firm bread.
Ingredients:
1 can navy beans
1 cup ham, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 large potato, diced
2 medium carrots, diced
2 celery ribs, diced
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 1/2 quarts water
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon parsley
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a large soup pot.
2. Bring to a boil slowly.
3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour.
4. Check the seasonings and serve warm.
