This sounds like a quick, easy recipe. i plan to try it soon. this recipe can be cut in half, if desired. Ingredients:
3 lbs lean ground beef |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper |
1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
2 -3 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
16 sandwich buns, split |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, cook ground beef, onions, celery and bell pepper until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. 2. drain. 3. in a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, combine ground beef mixture and all remaining ingredients, except buns. 4. mix well. 5. cover. 6. cook on low setting 3 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally. 7. spoon beef mixture into buns. |
