So easy to make, and a great Holiday dessert - Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened (no substitute) |
1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar, divided |
1 teaspoon grated orange peel |
1/2 teaspoon orange extract |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped |
1/2 cup hazelnuts, finely choped |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream butter and 3/4 cup confectioners sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Blend in orange peel and extracts. 3. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. 4. Stir in nuts. Shape into 3/4-inch balls. 5. Place 1-inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. 6. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. 7. Place remaining confectioners sugar in a large resealable plastic bag. Add cookies a few at a time and shake to coat. 8. Store in an airtight container. |
