This is one of my favorite Christmas cookies, they definitely don't last long around our house. This recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies, depending on the size you make them. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons ice water |
4 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 3/4 cups self-rising flour |
1 1/3 cups ground pecans |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar. 2. Add vanilla and water, then combine with flour and nuts. 3. Chill for 2 hours. 4. Roll into small balls placing them on a cookie sheet. 5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. 6. Roll balls in powdered sugar while hot. |
