This recipe was given to me by my Mother in law. She told me it was my hubby's favorite cookie. I don't make them as often as he would like me to. I will pass it on to my future daughter in law for her to make for my son. It is his favorite also. The recipe works best with Parkay margarine!!! (Full strength not light) Ingredients:
1/3 cup parkay margarine |
4 pieces bittersweet chocolate |
2 cups sugar |
4 eggs, 1 at a time |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine and chocolate together in microwave or in a pan on the stove. Set a side to cool. 2. Combine sugar and eggs (1 at a time). Then add remaining ingredients (not powdered sugar) to make batter. Add cool chocolate mixture to batter, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll balls in powdered sugar. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. |
