So this is how you make marshmallows! This tastes good and is very easy and quick to make. I used the whole bottle of syrup which is 2 cups; just add 3 egg whites instead of 2. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup |
2 egg whites |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a 1 quart saucepan over medium heat, heat light corn syrup to boiling. Remove from heat. 2. In a large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat egg whites and a dash of salt just until soft peaks form. Slowly pour in hot syrup and continue beating for 6-8 minutes; until frosting is fluffy and forms stiff peaks when beaten. (is raised) Beat in 1 teaspoons Vanilla extract. 3. Frost desired cake. |
