This was described in a restaurant menu as the ultimate dessert cocktail, so I had to try it. And I was definitely not disappointed because it is indeed the ultimate. It's a delightful blend of chocolate, almond and cream, but the Dutch caramel vodka is the real secret to the delectable taste of this lovely beverage. I didn't include chill time in the prep time, since that can vary. Ingredients:
caramel sauce (for glass) |
chocolate syrup (for glass) |
1 1/2 ounces dutch caramel vodka |
1/2 ounce irish cream |
1/2 ounce chocolate liqueur |
1/2 ounce amaretto |
spash cream |
ice cube |
Directions:
1. Drizzle a thin line of caramel sauce and chocolate sauce on the inside of a old-fashioned glass (or short rocks tumbler). Place in refrigerator to chill. 2. Combine caramel vodka, Irish cream, chocolate liqueur, amaretto, cream and ice cubes in a cocktail shaker; shake well. 3. Pour (unstrained) into prepared glass. Serve with a straw. |
