Snickerdoodles - Soft and Thick |

This is my version of a favorite snickerdoodle. Ingredients:
1 cup butter flavor crisco |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
2 large eggs |
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon |
2 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Preaheat oven to 400. 2. Mix all ingredients together (except last 2 cinnamon & sugar which you should combine to roll the dough in) until stiff and almost crumbly. 3. Roll about a 1 inch ball of dough and then roll that in cinnamon & sugar mix. 4. Place on cookie sheet and back 10-12 minutes until spread but still thick and slightly firm to the touch. |
