A classic cookie recipe! Yummy! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 tsp baking soda |
1/4 tsp cream of tartar |
1 large egg |
1/2 tsp vanilla |
1 1/2 cups flour |
3 tbsp sugar |
1 tsp cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed for 30 seconds 3. Add the cup of sugar, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl as necessary 4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until blended 5. Beat in flour, stirring when necessary 6. Cover and chill. (I am impatient and just stuck it in the freezer for about 15 minutes) 7. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small dish. 8. Form the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in mixture 9. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased pan 10. Bake 10-11 minutes until edges are golden |
