1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup butter |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2 3/4 cups flour |
2 teaspoons cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Mix shortening, butter, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. 3. Blend dry ingredients and stir in to shortening, sugar, egg mixture. 4. Roll into balls size of small walnuts. Roll in 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. 5. Place 2 apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen 2 cookies. |
