There must be about a million Snickerdoodle recipes out there, but this is the best I've ever tried, given to me by one of my sister's friends, Debbie Faltrick of Cucamonga CA. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2 3/4 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, mixed with |
1/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and sugar, then beat in eggs, one at a time. 2. Mix dry ingredients together, and mix into butter mixture. 3. Roll teaspoonsful of dough into balls. 4. Roll in cinnamon-sugar. 5. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. 6. Flatten slightly if desired. 7. Bake for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees F or until very lightly browned. 8. Cool, and store in a tightly covered container. |
